Following a dismal last-placed finish to the 2012 season, the Easiyo Tactix are looking for a complete turn around this year, following the addition of exciting new players in the off season.

After managing only two wins last year, the Easiyo Tactix are looking to 2013 as a fresh start.

The Tactix made some key additions to their side during the off season, welcoming four new players coming across from fellow New Zealand-based sides.

Mid-courter Jade Clarke from the Northern Mystics, Julianna Naoupu from Waikato B.O.P. Magic, and both Hayley Saunders and Louise Thayer from the Southern Steel add to the talent and experience of the Tactix line-up.

Clarke will join fellow England international Jo Harten with the Tactix this year- the lethal combination certainly going to be a handful for opposition.

New recruit Naoupu has been welcomed with open arms, and will look to cement her sport within both the Tactix and New Zealand Silver Ferns sides this year.

Goaler Elizabeth Hayman, defender Zoe Walker and mid-courter Kirsten Hurley will make their ANZ Championship debuts this year for the Tactix.

Hayman has come up from the Under 21 Canterbury side, Walker still a current member of the New Zealand Under 21 side and Hurley coming from a passionate New Zealand netball background.

Defender Jane Watson has also made the step up to a permanent player for the Tactix this year, after being a replacement player in 2012.

Returning players Sophia Fenwick, Keshia Grant, Bessie Manu and Silver Fern Anna Thompson will again look to perform for their side in 2013.

The Easiyo Tactix were one of three New Zealand sides that made their way over to Melbourne in order to compete in the 2013 Melbourne Vixens Summer Challenge last month.

Unfortunately they only came away with the one win from four starts- beating fellow New Zealand side the Northern Mystics 40-25.

Their losses came against the undefeated Melbourne Vixens, and the NSW Swifts and Adelaide Thunderbirds.

The Tactix have also competed in a few local pre-season games against the Southern Steel, Central Pulse and Canterbury Men.

The Easiyo Tactix’s first round match of the 2013 ANZ Championship season is against the Kia Magic at the Trafalgar Centre in Nelson on March 24.

2013 Tactix line-up:

Jo Harten, Anna Thompson, Jade Clarke, Sophia Fenwick, Keshia Grant, Elizabeth Hayman, Kirsten Hurley, Bessie Manu, Julianna Naoupu, Louise Thayer, Joanna Trip, Zoe Walker, Jane Watson
